- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, Size Standard is 500 employees. Contractors shall have a full-time American Board Certified (ABC) or Board for Certification (BOC) Prosthesis on staff at their facility in good standing. The Contractor's facility shall be approved by the Facility Accreditation Program of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc., the Accredited Facilities Program of the Board of Certification, or have successfully passed inspection by the VISN 16 Chief of Prosthetics. Interested companies should submit an email to stephanie.keo@va.gov outlining the following: -Company name, DUNS, full address, point of contact, title, phone number, and email address -Offeror's capability to meet this requirement -Socioeconomic status (whether Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, 8(a), Woman Owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc.). If stating SDVOSB or VOSB status, your company must be verified with the seal/icon or show pending verification in VetBiz Registry (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) to be considered as a SDVOSB or VOSB source. All responses must be received in writing no later than 3:00 PM CST on July 11, 2013. Fax or telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is to help the VA medical center in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this request for information notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award or to be added to prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with the System for Award Management at https://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
