- PROJECT TITLE Various Roofing Projects on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The intent of this firm-fixed-price facilities maintenance contract is to perform various roofing repairs on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The descriptions of work and project locations are as follows: BUILDING #1151, WHITE PASS WORK CENTER RESIDENCE, OKANOGAN-WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST, NACHES RANGER DISTRICT: Building #1151 (Residence): Remove existing shake roof down to the roof sheathing, overlaying roofing sheeting with roofing paper/ice guard, installing new flashings and roofing with shingles. The project site is located at the White Pass Work Center, Naches, WA 98937, which is located ~22 miles outside of Naches, WA. BUILDINGS #1206, #1209, #1211, #2071, #2570, OKANOGAN-WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST, LAKE WENATCHEE, WENATCHEE RIVER RANGER DISTRICT: Building #1206 (Residence): Replace flashing around the chimney; Building #1209 (Residence): Replace flashing around the chimney; Buil ding #1211 (Residence): Replace flashing around the chimney; Building #2071 (Office): Remove metal roofing in damaged area, cut and install T&G roof 1x sheathing (5 board widths minimum) of variable lengths spliced in at 2x overhangs using straps, install new ice guard, reconnect fascia board, install drip edge and at least two new lengths of roofing metal (see photos for more information); and Building #2570 (Gas House): Remove existing roofing metal on both sides of peak in area of damage, repair roof truss (assume one roof truss is damaged and will need to be repaired using 2x6 material scabbed onto existing truss), install new plywood roof sheathing and roofing paper, install new roofing metal (see photos for more information). Note : Each bidder is required to verify existing conditions, measurements, etc. prior to submitting its bid. The project sites are located at 22976 Hwy. 207, Leavenworth, WA 98826, which is located ~23 miles outside of Leavenworth, WA. BID BOND / PERFORMANCE & PAYMENT BONDS REQUIRED Any bonding requirements will be detailed in the solicitation. DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS Less than $25,000.00. DESIRED START DATE August 12, 2013. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The selected contractor will have thirty (30) calendar days to complete the work after the Forest Service issues the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
