Description

Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "Preventive Maintenance (PM) on Arjo Patient Safety Lifts" at the New Jersey Healthcare System (NJHCS), Lyons Campus located at 151 Knollcroft Rd, Lyons, NJ 07939. The vendor shall be responsible for: one (1) preventive maintenance inspection and three (3) callbacks to include parts/installation. The preventive maintenance shall be in accordance with OEM. The preventive maintenance includes inspect frame interlocks and hardware for service ability and missing parts, inspect cassette gears for wear, inspect connecting joints for proper attachment (cassette trolley and spreader bar), verify that the emergency brake on the drum is turning freely, verify performance of emergency devices, inspect and torque track end stoppers, inspect visibility of bracket locking device, inspect rail joints and centering of spring pins, inspect/verify centering of rails, verity serviceability of any installed accessories (turntables and/or exchangers), verify placement of installed fixed components, verify proper voltage output from fixed battery charger and continuous chargers, inspect complete length of lift strap for wear, inspect slings for wear, verify correct calibration of installed weight measurement devices (scales), load test batteries, diagnose and correct system issues and upon completion of any repairs, a complete function check will be performed to ensure proper operation, serviceability and safety of use. The vendor will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of these required services. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the standard size is $7.0 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J (Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment). Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than July 12, 2013 at 10:00AM. Email: charnell.cunningham@va.gov and Fax: 718-741-4722. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be consider for this procurement. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
