- This project consists of constructing an aggregate roadway, parking lot, and sidewalk. This project also includes site preparation, assembly, and installation of a pavilion (government furThis project consists of constructing an aggregate roadway, parking lot, and sidewalk. This project also includes site preparation, assembly, and installation of a pavilion (government furnished) and site preparation for a CXT vault toilet to be installed by the manufacturer. Work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, construction survey and staking, silt fence, clearing & grubbing, embankment construction CIP - import, embankment construction CIP - balance (roadway), embankment construction CIP - balance (other), earthwork geotextile, placed riprap - 3"-8" angular rock, aggregate surface coarse - crushed concrete MDOT 23A CIP, concrete slab 22'x36'x4" - fiber reinforced, concrete footings, wheelstops, placing conserved topsoil, turf establishment, sign system - various, posts - 6"x6"x4' treated timber, and installation of Government furnished pavilion. Project is located in Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary, Section 2, T14N, R13W, Newaygo County, Michigan. The location has a sensitive ecosystem in the area. This project is funding in part (30%) by USFS program funds, a grant from the Fremont Area Community Foundation (50%), and the Michigan Garden Club (20%). The contractor will be required to take extra care to work within the designated construction limits and weed prevention and non-native infestation will be carefully monitored. Special capabilities or disciplines needed for contract performance: Capability of clearing and grubbing, embankment construction, aggregate placement, and the construction of a government furnished pavilion in such a way where the delicate area inhabitants (be they animal or plants) are preserved while minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment. This is an 8(a) Direct Award issued the authority of section 19 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Memorandum of Understanding between the USDA and the SBA.
