- Commodity Specification Canned Vegetables Amendment No. 2 Commodity Specification Canned Vegetables PURCHASE ANNOUNCEMENT United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service DATE: July 2, 2013 USDA ANNOUNCES PURCHASE PROGRAM FOR CANNED SWEET POTATOES: The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced plans to purchase canned sweet potatoes for domestic food nutrition assistance programs. Offers will be invited pursuant to the AMS Master Solicitation for Commodity Procurements dated April 2013 for the following items: MATERIAL # MATERIAL DESCRIPTION 100316 SWEET POTATOES W/ SYRUP CAN - 24/300 100317 SWEET POTATOES W/ SYRUP CAN - 6/10 100318 SWEET POTATOES MASHED CAN - 6/10 A Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation will be issued in the near future for deliveries beginning November 1, 2013. Offers to sell these products must be received not later than the date specified on the Solicitation. Subsequent solicitations will be issued if necessary. All offers must be submitted electronically through the Web-Based Supply Chain Management (WBSCM) website at http://www.usda.gov/wps/portal/usda/usdahome?navid=WBSCM. Offers submitted by any means other than WBSCM will be considered nonresponsive. Offerors are urged to carefully read all applicable terms and conditions of the AMS Master Solicitation for Commodity Procurements; the Vendor Qualification Requirements dated April 2013; the Commodity Specification for Canned Vegetables dated February 2012, as amended; and the Solicitation(s).
