- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Environmental Research Laboratory (ORD)/NERL LV-1) Environmental Sciences Division has a requirement for a Scanned Electron Microscope (SEM) Vibration Table. This effort will support the ORD/NERL LV-1 Environmental Sciences Division within the Characterization and Monitoring and Environmental Chemistry Branches. The US EPA intends to issue a solicitation for a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and supervision required to provide the Vibration Table. EPA anticipates the award of a firm fixed-price purchase order. The solicitation number is RFQ-RT-13-000073 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The EPA has determined that this solicitation will be issued as a total small business set-aside with competition limited to small business concerns classified as such under the requirements North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. To be eligible for consideration, small business firms shall have an average of no more than 500 employees. It is anticipated the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about July 10th, 2013 and quotes will be due 5 days after the RFQ issue date. The resultant contract will be awarded in accordance with the solicitation procedures outlined in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures. All prospective offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at: https://www.uscontractorregistration.com/. All responsible sources categorized as a small business under the stated NAICS Code may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency. The announcement will be posted at the website referenced below. The solicitation, amendments, and all pertinent documents will be available at http://www.epa.gov/oamrtpnc/q130073/index.htm PLEASE NOTE: NO FURTHER SYNOPSIS OR INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED TO FEDBIZOPS. It will be the offeror?s responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is to be posted for any amendments, changes to the RFQ issue, closing date, and additional information. If you obtain a copy of the solicitation via the internet, it will be your responsibility to frequently check the same website where the solicitation is posted for any amendments.
