- SOW INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award a sole source award, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (Dollar Threshold of 150,000) a firm fixed price award to purchase access Truven Health's MarketScan Commerical Claims database fpr 2-12 and to continue to have access for the 1998 -2001 for the MarketScan Commercial Claims database. in accordance with the attached Statement of Work to Truven Health Analytics, Inc., 777 East Eisenhower Parkway, Ann Arbor, AMI 48108-3273. The sole source award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253© (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A Justification and Approval was been approved and processed through Small Business Administration. This requirement is intended as a sole source contract because Truven Health Analytics, Inc. sole proprietor of the MarketScan Commercial Claims Database. NAICS CODE: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541690 INTERESTED PARTIES: All responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations which shall be considered by the agency. To be considered, interested vendors must submit technical literature describing their capability to effectively satisfy this requirement, as well as terms and conditions and a complete price quote within 15 days of this notice. DISCLAIMER: This notice is not a Request for Proposals or Solicitation, nor does is restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. This notice is not a commitment from the Government. The Government will not reimburse any bid or proposal costs as a result of this notice. No solicitation exists and requests for copies will be disregarded. However, any future solicitation that will be open to competition that will be open to competition will be subsequently issued on FedBizOpps in order to permit firms to respond.
