Description
The Pacific Regional Contracting Office (PRCO) Korea at Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital (BAACH)/121st Combat Support Hospital intends to award a firm-fixed price, a non-personal service contract for the Health Technician Audiology services at Force Health Protection, BAACH/121st CSH, MEDDAC-Korea. This requirement is for a period of performance from 23 Sep 2013 through 22 Sep 2018 (Base & 4 Option Periods). Required qualification of the Health Technician Audiology: The contract personnel must possess professional knowledge and be able to skillfully perform audiometric tests, fit personnel with hearing protection, schedule patients for exams, and train personnel on hearing conservation. (1) Education: Post high school level with basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc). (2) The contractor must have a certificate of completion from an accredited program, offered thru the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) or complete a certified course within four months after starting employment. (3) Have ability to speak fluent English in order to communicate with patients. The proposal shall demonstrate fluent English language ability by one of the following. a. Minimum TOEFL score of 450 or a minimum TOEIC score of 550, or; b. Resume that substantiates the proposed Health Technician's English speaking abilities. (4) Maintain a current a Basic Life Support (BLS) (5) Licensure/Certification/Registration: CAOHC certification (can be obtained after employment starts) (6) Experience: A minimum 1 year experience working in the medical field. The proposed acquisition will be unrestricted. This solicitation package will be available on both the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/) and the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/)on or about 15 July 2013. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued and no solicitation mailing list will be compiled.
