Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 23 Contracting Office intends to negotiate a sole source award to CHI-IOWA CORP, 1111 6TH AVE, Des Moines, IA 50314 for Inpatient Hemodialysis Services for VA Central Iowa HealthCare System. The Government intends to procure from only one source the incumbent due to unusual compelling urgency under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICIATION IS AVAILABLE. Telephone request will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may identify their interest to meet this requirement to Gary Hausdorf, Contract Specialist by 9:00 AM Central Time, Tuesday, July 22, 2013. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. Interested parties may submit information for consideration by the government to: gary.hausdorf@va.gov.
