Description
The US Department of Labor (DOL) is seeking a qualified contractor who has the qualifications and experience to provide Job Corps Center Annual Safety and Occupational Health Program Reviews for 125 Job Corps Centers. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical training services to more than 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps Centers nationwide. The Job Corps Centers where the safety and occupational health program reviews will be performed will be identified through the DOL's National Office of Job Corp. These services shall include: 1) Verification of Emergency Funding requests for Funded and Not Corrected Safety, NFPA Life Safety code deficiencies or Health violations as a result of the Safety, Occupational Health Program Reviews and Environmental Inspections. 2) Verify for newly designed facilities or renovation projects that a substantial completion Certificate and Punch List is issued in accordance with Planning, Design and Construction Administration Guidelines for Architects and Engineers JCH 814.8-10, and 29 CFR 1960.34(a) (1) to 1960.34(a) (3) to create the abatement plan and authorization for facility occupancy. 3) Conduct Real Physical Property Inventories of facilities for the Job Corps Centers. No cost proposal is required for the response to this synopsis. All future information about this sources sought, including amendments, if any, will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most-up-to date information about this notice. This Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to issue a Request for Proposals or award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Entities responding to this Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable of performing the required services. The submission shall not exceed 20 pages. Responses should include examples of at least three projects or contracts performed that are similar in size and scope to the services required as outlined above. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to Ms. Eileen Garnett, Contracting Specialist, Solicitation No. DOL131RI20616, US Department of Labor/ETA/OCM/Technical & Training Contracts Branch, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room N4643, Washington, DC 20210. Responses are due on Wednesday July 17, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. EST. Electronic copies of capability statements are preferred and may be e-mailed to: garnett.eileen@dol.gov. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the Government's evaluation of the information received.
