- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being posted as an avenue to provide Request for Quotes, W912PM-13-T-0027. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.202(a)(13), exceptions to publicizing contract actions, there will not be a pre-solicitation notice posted for this required action. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The solicitation number is W912PM-13-T-0015, and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The North Atlantic Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332312 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-68. Description of Requirement: The Wilmington District, of the US Army Corps of Engineers requests the transportation, labor, equipment, supplies and materials to completely install one (1ea.) aluminum gangplank and floating dock at United States Army Corps of Engineers, Boat Ramp, Poe's Ridge, B. Everett Jordan Dam Lake, Moncure, North Carolina. The gangplank and floating dock should meet the characteristics and level of quality of the Robco Manufacturing Inc/Alumadock, as described in the attached performance work statement or equal. To be considered for award, offers of quote mark equal quote mark products must submit with their quote the items specified in FAR 52.211-6. The Government is using a quote mark brand name or equal quote mark acquisition pursuant to FAR Part 11.104 to accurately describe the requirements. In the performance of this contract, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor General Decision NC130093, dated 01/04/2013, in Chatham County, North Carolina. Background checks will be required for all Contractor personnel. See the Statement of Work for details and requirements regarding this standard procedure. The contractor shall commence work within TEN (10) calendar days after the date of award. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup of the premises, not later than SIXTY (60) calendar days after the date of award.
