- Questions and Answers - 18th Round. Answers are in response to Tactical Power Supplies PP-6224D/U and PP-2953E/U Market Survey posted on 25 May 2012. 1. Question - MS. Baldwin, Good afternoon. First I would like to apologies for this late question. We are actively drafting our response and to help us provide the best value possible to the Government I humbly request your help in possibly presenting the potential 5 year forecast for the two items..... As you know 5 years is a very long time and very difficult to determine a FFP with quantity breaks without the knowledge of the potential quantity required. Answer - The combined delivery quantity of concurrent delivery orders of one or both Tactical Power Supplies is not required to exceed 500 total Power Supplies per month. The mix of PP-6224D/U and PP-2953E/U and the quantities shall be based on Government requirements. The minimum guaranteed order under this contract will be for either fourteen (14) First Article Units, including Testing and Reports, or for an amount not to exceed $250,000, whichever is less. No additional information regarding this procurement will be available prior to the release of the RFP. Additionally, the only guaranteed delivery will be First Article Samples and Testing to be delivered 300 days after date of award. The actual ordering and delivery of the Tactical Power Supplies would commence thereafter. The proposed delivery schedule will be released with the Request for Proposal (RFP). 2. Question - My name is (deleted) and I am a (deleted) trying to support a CECOM RFP for the following NSN's, NSN: 6130-01-522-3494 and NSN: 6130-01-571-2142. We understand that these NSN products are orphans' and do not have a PM assigned but a IM is which I have been informed is you. We are attempting to provide FFP'ing (firm fixed pricing) for 5 years but do not have any forecast information other than the required delivery of approximately 200-600 per month till completion. As for the delivery of those quantities we have no concerns meeting them. Our concern is the ability to provide the government a fair and realistic quantity break FFP for 5 years. These forecast we understand are not set in stone but will provide us the best guess possible. Answer - Please see above Question #1 for quantities forecasted. 3. Question - Per our discussions (deleted) is interested in bidding the above opportunity. Is it possible to get the actual cable lengths? Answer- In accordance with Q&A #9 uploaded to FBO on 20 November 2012; drawings and performance specifications are being released in advance of the solicitation. In accordance with the amended synopsis uploaded to FBO on 23 May 2013, full technical details of the tactical power supplies can be found in MIL-PRF-49080 Revision D, dated 17 March 2010, found at: http://quicksearch.dla.mil/basic_profile.cfm?ident_number=26824 The cable requirements can be found in paragraph 3.3.3 of the above specification. Note: There is an Exceptions to Specifications, dated 30 May 2012, that will be included with the solicitation that updates the Point of Contact and changes the output cable's relationship to the output connector. These details will be supplied with the future release of the RFP. If you have not requested and received the drawings and performance specifications; please do so now. Please send your request to Roberta.C.Baldwin.civ@mail.mil. No additional information regarding this procurement will be available prior to the release of the RFP. 4. Question - Referencing synopsis W15P7T-12-R-A307, our records show no updates as of late. Can you tell me if it has been issued as a formal RFP, canceled, or awarded already? Thank you in advance for your response. Answer - The Government does not have a firm date for Request for Proposal (RFP) release or a firm award date. It is anticipated that the award of this requirement will most likely be 2nd Quarter of Fiscal Year 2014; meaning most likely January 2014. We are currently anticipating that the RFP will be issued September 2013. These anticipated dates are subject to change.
