GSA Schedule Bids Only: Sellers bidding on this opportunity MUST have the items requested on an existing GSA Schedule. The Schedule must either be in the Seller's name or the Seller must be able to document its ability to act as an agent of a partner's Schedule. Sellers must not bid more than their applicable contract ceiling price, excluding the FedBid Fee, for contract-specific items. If FedBid receives notice that, due to inclusion of the FedBid Fee, the Selected Bid's line item pricing is higher than the Selected Seller's applicable published government contract pricing, the FedBid Fee will be reduced to ensure the Selected Bid's line item pricing does not exceed the Selected Seller's applicable contract pricing. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified sellers may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2013-07-17 11:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be FORT LEE, VA 23801 The MICC Fort Lee requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001: EACH OFFER MUST BE IN FULL ACCORDANCE WITH LISTED BELOW STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARTIFACT STORAGE AREA (SEE ATTACHMENT)Artifact Storage Area. The total area is approximately 4,000 sq ft. High density storage is already in place in the center of the room **MUST MEET CONSERVATION STANDARDS FOR STORAGE OF TEXTILES AND METALS LISTED BELOW** -Museum Cabinet must have a powder coat finish that does not produce off gassing -Must be made from high quality steel -Cabinets must create the microclimate that is needed for storing fragile items--especially textiles -Must have a non-reactive, solvent-free powder coating to prevent negative impact on the artifacts stored in the cabinets SPECIFICATIONS: The full height conservation cabinets, (5 are needed) need to be approximately 58? w x 84? h x 30? d. Each cabinet must have: 2 solid lift off doors with recessed door handle A clip adjustment every ?? Forklift base Level ease swivel levelers 20 each 1.5? h drawers (full width) with safety stops Needs to hold no more than 75lbs. Needs to be light beige or tan in color Must meet museum conservation standards for storage of textiles and metals. Needs to be light beige or tan in color Needs to hold no more than 75lbs Meet Museum Conservation standards for use with textiles and metals, 1, EA; LI 003: EACH OFFER MUST BE IN FULL ACCORDANCE WITH LISTED BELOW STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARCHIVES STORAGE SYSTEM (SEE ATTACHMENT)The total area is approximately 500 sq ft. High density storage is already in place on one end of the room. **MUST MEET CONSERVATION STANDARDS FOR STORAGE OF TEXTILES AND METALS LISTED BELOW** -Museum Cabinet must have a powder coat finish that does not produce off gassing -Must be made from high quality steel -Cabinets must create the microclimate that is needed for storing fragile items SPECIFICATIONS: -High density storage system for the archives -No taller than 9? (+/- 3?) -No wider than 13? (+/- 3?) -No longer than 8? (+/- 5?) -Flexible shelving heights -Flexible shelving configuration?to hold archival flat boxes or square boxes -Needs to be light beige or tan in color -Needs to be on a rail system -Needs a manual roller/handle system -Meet Museum Conservation standards for use with textiles and metals, 1, EA; LI 004: SHIPPING/INSTALLATION, 1, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, MICC Fort Lee intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. A Seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. MICC Fort Lee is taking this action in an effort to improve both seller access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids.All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
