Description
Install Fire Protection & Security System at Fort Washington Visitor Center: The work for this contract is located at Fort Washington Visitor Center, Fort Washington Park, 13551 Fort Washington Road, Fort Washington, Maryland. The work of this contract includes, but is not limited to the following work: Extend new 4-inch ductile iron underground fire main from existing 8-inch feed main into the Visitor Center to serve the new automatic fire sprinkler systems. Provide directional drilling in locations indicated on the civil drawings. Remove existing Pyrotronics fire alarm system including all fire alarm appliances and circuits. Provide new addressable fire alarm system throughout. Provide automatic fire sprinkler system (dry and wet pipe sprinkler systems) throughout. Provide new water fountain at existing concrete pad and connection for fountain. Provide new intrusion detection and CCTV system including new panel, motion sensors, cameras. The estimated magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Type of award will be a firm-fixed price construction. The Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.502-2, Total small business set-asides, this procurement is 100-percent set-aside for small business concerns. The Small business size standard is $14 million. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having less than or equal to $14 million annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. The solicitation along with attachments will be issued electronically and downloadable at https://www.fedconnect.net or http://www.fbo.gov on or about July 25, 2013. No hard copies will be issued. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction). To receive a government award, prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and possess and maintain a valid Dun & Bradstreet number. Offerors must be prepared to comply with all instructions contained Internet Payment Platform (IPP) DOI Electronic Invoicing. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. Actual date will be established at the time solicitation documents are available. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
