- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, has a requirement for construction services needed to replace the switchgear at Hungry Horse Dam in Montana. The principal components of work consists of: (1) Developing an outage/cutover plan to accomplish work with minimal plant outages; (2) Removing and disposing of the existing equipment; (3)Furnishing and installing cables from station service switchgears USA, DSA, DSB and reconnecting them to new station service switchgear USA, DSA, DSB; (4) Furnishing and installing 13.8kV feeder cables between breaker 622, new 15kV disconnect, and KSA; (5) Furnishing and installing 13.8kV feeder cables between breaker 822, new 15kV disconnect, and KSB; (6) Furnishing and installing new CTs in the disconnecting switches on the high side of transformers KSA and KSB; (7) Furnishing and installing 2400-volt station service switchgear USA; (8) Furnishing and installing relay monitoring system with PLC control logic and HMI interface; (9) Furnishing and installing two 480-volt station service switchgears DSA and DSB; (10) Furnishing and installing 2400-volt engine generator set; (11) Furnishing and installing grounding cables, electrical conduit, cable tray, conductors, and associated electrical equipment; (12) Designing, furnishing, and installing Control Board Panels CCA6F and CCA7F; (13) Designing, furnishing, and installing water level sensors and pressure switch system for domestic water tank; (14) Designing, furnishing, and installing water sensing probes and alarm system near the ring follower gates; (15) Designing, furnishing, and installing concrete pad on transformer deck to place the engine generator set; (16) Designing, furnishing, and installing curbs and removable handrails around floor grates near the mechanics workstation; (17) Designing, furnishing, and installing a floor drain/pipe system near each of the existing floor gratings above DSA and USA switchgears. The drain/piping to incorporate modifying/retrofitting the existing HVAC duct to accommodate new drain piping leading from the HVAC unit and tapping into the floor drain/drain piping system; and (18) Providing training on installed equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code associated with this project is 237130. The small business size standard applicable to this project is $33.5 million in gross annual receipts averaged over the previous three 1-year accounting periods. The order of magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This procurement is being advertised as a Small Business Set-Aside. Offers will be accepted from all responsive and responsible small business concerns. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
