Description
SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Jackson, SC is conducting market research to determine the existence of interested source capable of providing services for the repairing and testing of various cylinders, hoses, valves, and related components for various construction type equipment in accordance with the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). The resulting contract will result in a one (1) year base period and four (4) additional 12-month option periods. The qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 811310, quote mark Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance quote mark. The MICC-Fort Jackson is requesting responses from responsible, qualified firms within the selected industry classification that are able to perform this requirement in its entirety. This is not a request for proposals; the market data collected will be used to formulate an acquisition strategy to procure equipment component repair and testing services for the Fort Jackson Logistics Readiness Center (LRC). SCOPE: The contractor shall inspect, test, repair, and certify the safety and operability of each component requested for repair within seven (7) days of receipt of the component. The contractor shall repair or replace, as required, all parts and components deemed defective or not meeting the testing standards. The contractor shall prepare and provide a report specific to each component to include, all replacement parts, adjustments, and test certificates. The Contractor shall provide a warranty for the parts and operation to be free of defects and workmanship and perform repairs (under warranty) for a period of 90 days from date of acceptance. The contractor shall test, repair, and certify the following types of components, but is not limited to: Cylinders Hoses Valves Motors Pumps Switches Fittings Associated Components Typical Component Repairs consist of the following; Cylinders: Tilt, Arm, Fork, Door, Packer Lift, Bed, Clam Bucket, Steering, Blade, Boom, Turntable, Outriggers; Pumps: Hydraulic and Power take-off; Valves: Relief, and hoses, and similar components. The work to be performed under the resulting contract will be performed at the contractor's facilities. The Government will deliver components for repair within 10 miles of Fort Jackson, SC. If the contractor's facilities exceed the 10 mile radius, the contractor shall be responsible for facilitating transportation for the additional mileage beyond the 10 mile radius. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Responsible, qualified firms interested in supporting the subject requirement for the Fort-Jackson LRC equipment component testing and repair in accordance with the draft PWS are to prepare a response (no more than 2 pages in length) to include the following information: 1. Company Name with Point of Contact 2. DUNS Number and CAGE Code 3. Small Business Certifications (if applicable) 4. A brief description of your company and its capability to fulfill this requirement.
