- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is a task/delivery order where an exception to fair opportunity requirements was approved due to only one source being available (FAR 8.405-6(b)(1) or 16.505(b)(2)(ii)). Award was made to a vendor who has the maintenance agreement for the existing software for the telecommunication equipment. The vendor has all the repair parts/loaner equipment to replace and repair the TVs which are used as a form of telecommunication.
