Description
Combined solicitation\synopsis THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION AND A SEPARATE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-68 effective June 26, 2013. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), Acquisition of Commercial Items, and is a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Solicitation Number for this acquisition is P13-005595 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 424210 and the Small Business Size Standard is 100 employees. BACKGROUND The NIH CC Pharmacy Department provides both traditional distributive and clinical pharmaceutical services for both inpatients and outpatients. The pharmacy department also has an investigational drug section that includes a pharmacokinetics lab, chemistry lab, manufacturing group and investigation drug processing group. The health, safety and welfare of all patients involved in NIH CC research protocols is the number one concern. The research mission would not be possible without the necessary safeguards in place. Our yearly flu vaccination campaign is one of those safeguards to ensure that our patients do not become infected from staff members. Flu vaccinations are mandatory for all employees and contractors that might come into contact with our patients. Our program starts in late August each year with the first wave of employees receiving the vaccine being those that provide direct patient care. Once those employees are vaccinated, the flu vaccine is offered to the entire campus. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES The purpose of this solicitation is to procure Flu Vaccine for the National Institutes of Health. Please refer to the attached combined solicitation\synopsys for complete details, evaluation criteria and proposal submission instructions.
