Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) has a requirement to Install a Debris Cage. The work includes a new Debris Cage at the Opossumtown Pike weir. Work shall include the following, as well as additional incidental work: DEMOLITION: a.Excavate a 13'x5'6 quote mark section of soil, grass, riprap to accommodate new work. Excavation is within a wetland area. NEW WORK: b.Provide a 13'x5'6 quote mark cast in place concrete slab. c.Provide a 12'x5' structural plastic debris cage d.Clean existing riprap and reinstall after construction of debris cage. Provide additional riprap as required to close up any openings below existing fenceline. e.Seed any areas made bare during construction. This requirement is a 100% total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside for offerors operating under NAICS code 236220, with a size standard of $33.5 million. SDVOSB status will be verified via the Small Business Administration. Proposals received from concerns that do not qualify as a SDVOSB shall be considered nonresponsive and shall be rejected. Solicitation number W81XWH-13-R-0059 is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about 29 July 2013 and proposals will be due on or about 29 August 2013. The magnitude of the requirement is between $10,000 and $25,000. A site visit will be held. The date of the site visit will be stated in the solicitation. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/default.cfm or https://www.fbo.gov/. Potential offers are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained. Potential offerors are required to direct all questions via email to jamie.l.diggs.civ@mail.mil.
