- Description
- This is a synopsis notice for non-commercial supplies and services as prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. NSWCCD Philadelphia seeks to award a firm fixed price (FFP) contract to Mide Technology Corporation, 200 Boston Ave, Suite 1000 Medford, MA 02155. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia has established a requirement for seven (7) Mide Reliant Yoke Series Bulkhead Shaft Seals (BHSS), P/N 110-400-35-400. The contract will require the contractor to install and test BHSS shipboard along with providing test results. Also the Contractor shall fabricate components, provide Non-Recurring engineering for this ship set that includes qualifying the seal through extension, remove current seals, install components, provide text fixtures for seals, test installed components to ensure they meet Navy leakage criteria, and provide technical documentation including test data. The anticipated award date is 29 November 2013. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541330 with a size standard of $35.5 million dollars. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
