- 2013 United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Science and Technology (S&T) Collaborative Planning Session - Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS). The USSOCOM Special Operations Research, Development, and Acquisition Center's Science and Technology Directorate (SORDAC-ST) will host the 2013 USSOCOM S&T Collaborative Planning Session - TALOS to continue collaboration with government, academia, and industry representatives on USSOCOM's TALOS effort. TALOS is a USSOCOM S&T thrust to advance the state of the art in warfighter protection and augmentation in order to maximize the kinetic potential and minimize the risk to our direct assaulters. The primary objective of this event is to provide a forum for industry and academia to collaborate with the TALOS Management Team and other government organizations to discuss innovative approaches to achieving the technology objectives and challenges of USSOCOM's TALOS. Maximum participation is encouraged; however seating will be strictly limited (one personnel per organization) so prompt registration is highly recommended. The 2013 USSOCOM S&T Collaborative Planning Session will be unclassified. This notice is NOT a Broad Agency Announcement, solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The following initial information is provided: Location: Davis Conference Center, 2101 Florida Keys Ave, MacDill AFB, FL. Schedule: Check in will begin at 0730, 6 August 2013 at the Davis Conference Center. The 2013 USSOCOM S&T Collaborative Planning Session will start at 0830, 6 August 2013 and formally end at 1130, 7 August 2013. Registration will officially close at 1630 on 26 July 2013 or when maximum capacity has been reached. Once your registration has been submitted, those officially approved to attend will receive a confirmation via email on or before 1630, 29 July 2013. Approved attendees are responsible to coordinate their own lodging and transportation requirements. Once individual registrations have been approved, attendees will receive additional administrative requirements for attendance and other event details. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI notice and resultant collaboration session or to otherwise pay for the information. All participation and responses associated with this collaboration session will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.
