Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition Operations, Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC), located 10300 Spotsylvania Ave, Suite 400, Fredericksburg, VA 22408, intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for the procurement of a Hospital Accreditation Services. The SAC intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Ninety (90) day interim contract to THE JOINT COMMISSION, One Renaissance Blvd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This interim contract will allow VA facilities to maintain their accreditation status while a new requirement is solicited, and the potential for open competition is explored. Person(s) interested in the new requirement may identify their interest and capability, and respond to this Notice of Intent. The Government will consider responses received while this announcement is posted. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to jeremy.jones3@va.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), Soliciting from a single source. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this effort is 813920, with a corresponding small business size standard $14 million. The estimated date of award for this action is July 19, 2013.
