- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS AMENDMENT 0001 SF-30 THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS RECEIVED AND TO EXTEND THE RFQ RESPONSE DATE. SEE AND ACKNOWLEDGE ATTACHED SF-30 A) QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS QUESTION 1. Mowing doesn't specify how often. So for fair comparison of all bids there should be a specific interval for the mowing. ANSWER 1. The mowing frequency should be set at least 34 times per year. This will be included in the statement of work at time of award QUESTION 2. Is the irrigation system maintenance no longer part of the bid? ANSWER 2. The irrigation/sprinkler maintenance would not be included in the contract and would be taken care of by the Region's Facilities' office as/when needed. QUESTION 3. What about trimming shrubs, and the remaining hedge? ANSWER 3. Yes, the shrub and hedge trimming should be included. This will be included in the statement of work at time of award. QUESTION 4. Previous contract specified Aeration and Thaching? ANSWER 4. The aeration and thatching should have been included in the original SOW. This will be included in the statement of work at time of award. QUESTION 5. Is tree care (pruning) part of this requirement? ANSWER 5. Tree care is not part of the statement of work. QUESTION 6. In the solicitation you are requiring the contractor to have Oregon State Landscapers License. We consulted with the state office in order to get the license and they informed us due the fact your property is federal property and we have no intention of doing commercial business in Oregon, only federal that they don't require us to have a license and are almost reluctant to have us go thru the process for no reason. Does this requirement need to remain in the statement of work? ANSWER 6. Yes, this will remain in the statement of work. B) THE RFQ RESPOND DATE IS EXTENDED FROM 07/17/2013 TO 07/19/2013.
