- USPFO of Louisiana intends to award a sole source procurement to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 601 Loyola Avenue New Orleans, LA 70113. The award will be made for the lease of 1181 sleeping rooms, meeting rooms, general rooms, an area for 33 vendors to set up tables, ball rooms, child/youth rooms, audio/visual equipment and catered meals required for the Yellow Ribbon event held on 26-28 July 2013. Requirement is for a non-casino hotel. Catered meals: Breakfast and Lunch at 2000ea on 27-28 July and Dinner at 700ea on 27 July 2013. Audio/Visual equipment will also be provided for the meeting space which includes; projector, mixing board, 2ea 10x15 screens, 5ea 3000 Lumen LCD data projectors/screens/sound ports/cables, high speed wireless cable for this event. This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) 1 and FAR Part 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 721110 and the small business size standard is $30 million. The Hyatt Regency Hotel is the only known source that can satisfy the government's requirements on 26-28 July 2013. All qualified sources must respond not later than 19 July 2013 16:00am CST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
