- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Medium Altitude UAS Division intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) pertaining to MQ-9 Software capabilities, integration and upgrades. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. GA-ASI is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-1 Predator and the MQ-9 Reaper system and has been identified as the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this effort. The Government does not own full data rights for the system; therefore to avoid duplication costs, the Government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. For subcontracting opportunities, interested parties may submit appropriate information to Paula Hodgetts at 858-312-3615, or paula.hodgetts@gat.com. The National Industry Claissification System (NAICS) code for this procurement action is 336411. Please indicate number of employees relative to the size standard of 750 for determination of small business status.
