- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This is a notice of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) intent to solicit and award a sole source procurement set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation wherein circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of the requirement is to establish an award under FAR Subpart 6.3 for the Purchase of Currency Labels for the BEP's Eastern Currency Facility and Western Currency Facility. The BEP intends to award this contract to Weber Marking Systems, Inc., 711 W. Algonquin Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60005-4415 (see attached justification for other than full and open competition). A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their ability to provide materials needed by the BEP. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than noon Eastern Time July 26, 2013. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to Carol Pope at carol.pope@bep.gov. NOTHING HEREIN SHOULD BE MISCONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS, QUOTES OR BIDS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTATION IS AVAILABLE NOR WILL BE ISSUED.
