Description

Project No. 568-13-111 Repair Roads, Walks and Pavement, Phase 3 This project includes the following work on the Fort Meade VA Medical Center, Fort Meade, South Dakota: asphalt milling and overlay of various streets; new asphalt parking areas; removal of existing asphalt garage approaches and replacement with concrete approaches; removal and replacement of existing concrete curb and gutter; concrete sidewalks; parking lot restoration (crack sealing, seal coat and pavement markings). Solicitation Number VA263-13-R-2829 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about August 1, 2013. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized site visit will be held on August 15, 2013 (see solicitation for date and time). The date for request for proposal is tentatively scheduled for Friday, August 30, 2013 (see solicitation when available for specific information.) The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is 210 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $250,000 to $500,000.
