SOURCES SOUGHT / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION NAICS 238150 Size Standard: $14.0 Million Submit responses of interest, inquiries, statement of capabilities, company name with company's DUNS # by 7/23/2013 3:00PM EST to marc.tetu@va.gov. SCOPE OF WORK Stanley ICU Intensive Care Unit Door System (Brand Name or Equal) (3) Dura-Care Stanley7500TL Series Telescopic manual sliding ICU doors, (1) Dura-Care Stanley 7400 Series unequal swing ICU door pair To include Installation GENERAL 1) Work to include furnishing and installing factory fabricated and finished intensive care unit manual sliding door system. 2) All work shall be done Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. 3) One door shall be completed per day, depending on availability. 4) Verify that other trades are completed before installing the intensive care unit manual sliding door system. 5) Mounting surfaces shall be plumb, straight and secure: substrates shall be of proper dimension and material. 6) Warranted materials shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year after installation. 7) Installation in accordance with construction documents, shop drawings and manufacture's installation instructions. 8) Coordinate installation with the glass glazing and electrical work. 9) Any related painting, patching, flooring and ceiling work must be done upon completion of installation. 11) Grounding wire to header case to eliminate static electricity build up. 12) Doors must have a positive latching. Full breakout versions. 13) All appropriate OSHA safety guidelines shall be followed in conducting of work. QUALITY ASSURANCE: 1) Swing Door and ICU Manual Telescopic Door System: Shall be manufactured in an ISO 9001 registered manufacturing facility. PRODUCT HANDLING: 1) All materials shall arrive in the manufacturer's original sealed, labeled containers. 2) Remove all protective material after installation. PRODUCTS Dura-Care Stanley7500TL series Intensive care unit door system shall consist of telescopic manual sliding doors, ICU/CCU package creating a greater clear door opening width when sliding the panels as follows: "3 panel telescopic configuration with lead sliding panel break out. "Narrow stile aluminum doors. "Lever handles positive latching with full smoke seal casketing. "Self closing devices. "Door prepared with ¼ clear tempered glasses. "Dark bronze anodized finished. Dura-Care Stanley 7400 series swing door will come equipped as follows: "Uneven pairs of doors, one 3'0 leaf one 2'0 leaf. "Narrow stile doors "4" high x 4 ½ jambs. "1 ¾ x 4 ½ jambs "Heavy duty continuous hinges. "Built-in overhead concealed closer with 105 degree hold open on active leaf. "Automatic constant latch flush bolts on inactive leafs. "Positive latching on active door leaf. "Full smoke seal gasketing. PREPARATION / INSTALLATION 1. Removal of old door system(s). 2. Preparation of rough opening(s). 3. Verify that the Swing Door and ICU manual telescopic door system installation will not disrupt other trades. The door installer shall verify that the installation area is dry, clean and free of foreign matter. Check as-built conditions and verify the manufacture's Swing Door and ICU manual telescopic door system details for accuracy to fit the wall assembly prior to fabrication. Report in writing to any detrimental conditions to the proper functioning of the Swing Door and ICU manual telescopic door system. Installation shall proceed once the unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected in accordance to the manufacturer's recommendations. 4. Installation shall be by an installer approved and trained by the manufacturer in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and fire marshal's listing requirements. 5. Installation shall be in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and fire marshal's listing requirements. 6. Comply with the Swing Door and ICU manual telescopic door system manufacturer's recommendations and/or "installation guide when installing the Swing Door and ICU manual telescopic door system. Set all units plumb, level and true. 7. Provide all fasteners required for installation of the Swing Door and ICU manual telescopic door system. Adjustment and Cleaning: After repeated operation of the completed installation, re-adjust door(s) for optimum operating condition and safety. Clean all metal surfaces promptly after installation. ?
