- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a mass spectrometer ionization source for rapid, non-contract surface sampling of compounds and is directly compatible with the existing Thermo Scientific LTQ Orbitrap XL mass spectrometer. Below are the requirements: DART-SVP Ionization source for direct analysis in real time (DART). To include source and SVP Controller for operations of gas flow, temperature, high voltage and digital control of linear rail based sampler. Fixed forty five degree angle mount for use with DART-SVP to enable off-axis experiment modules. VAPUR interface flange for mounting DART to Thermo IonMax LC/MS system, ceramic transfer tubes and pump attachment accessories. Vacuumbrand ME2NT Diaphragm Pump for VAPUR pumping required to use VAPUR Interface. Wireless Communication Capability including wireless dongle, Apple Ipod Touch and wiring. Installation and training provided by vendor Experiment Modules: Experiment Modules designed to mount onto the linear rail based sampler and prove a convenient means to complete reproducible analysis of different types of samples. A base block and transmission module to be included Additional experiment modules: Tweezer module to enable precise method-based sampling of single tablets and other objects 3+D Scanner sample stage with digital X-Y movement control and manual Z-direction setting. Includes a second linear rail, 2 ceramic VAPUR tubes specific to the GIST interface type and control program 1 year service contract for DART SVP w/Preventative Maintenance includes a kit of user replaceable items /spares. Covers DART unit and all additional items ordered, except 3DS experiment modules.
