- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AN AWARD. Region 4, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Atlanta, GA, intends to award a sole source contract to Duck Unlimited, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance for this requirement will be from 30 July 2013 to 30 August 2014. The project includes, specialized services required are to conduct waterbird and habitat surveys at various locations (e.g. national wildlife refuges, state wildlife management areas, and private lands across the South Atlantic region) and adhere to and prepare survey protocols for the integrated waterbid management & monitoring project (IWMM). The Ducks Unlimited (DU) Great Lakes/ Atlantic Office is the only source capable of providing the required specialized services required to support the (IWMM) during the fall 2013 and winter 2014 field seasons. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 813312, Environment, Conservation and Wildlife Organizations, with a business size standard of $14.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
