- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE Purchase Order THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Department of Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, intends to award a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to KBA Nota-Sys.for the purchase of machine parts. FILTER FLAK-A PT. #7-ABBFUM/FLAK-A USED ON THE PLASTIROTA III MACHINE (QTY = 13 EA). This part is proprietary to KBA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, if you want to submit any drawings or samples for consideration ito provide the above mentioned part, please feel free to direct your concerns to Loni burton at Loni.burton@bep.gov. No solicitation will be posted.
