- This is a request for information (RFI) regarding North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 481112 Cargo Carriers, Air, Scheduled. The Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency is requesting information to transport via air cargo, materials and supplies from Fairbank, Alaska to various villages in Alaska affected by flooding. Some of the locations are: Galena, Hughes, and Fort Yukon; however, this is not an all-inclusive list. Materials and supplies will consist of building materials for concrete floors, garage floors, floor systems, exterior walls, interior partitions, truss packages, roof systems, hardware, paint, stairs parts, beams, and donated items. The aforementioned materials and supplies are not all inclusive. The capability of vendor to load and unload materials and supplies are included in this RFI. Interested vendors must be registered in SAM (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public /SAM/) under NAICS code 481112 or similar. In accordance with the Stafford Act, contracts or agreements with private organizations, firms, or individuals, preference shall be given, to the extent feasible and practicable, to those organizations, firms, and individuals residing or doing business primarily in the area affected by such major disaster or emergency. Interested Vendors: Qualified vendors are encouraged to respond with the following information: 1. Name of Business and Cage Code 2. Name of Point of Contact to include contact information (email, phone, business address) 3. Business Type (small or large) 4. Capability statement regarding providing the services as described above 5. Experience with Government Contracts 6. Preexisting barge schedule or schedule Interested Parties may submit a capability statement to include any additional information as it relates to this RFI. Responses must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. (Alaska Time) on Tuesday, 23 July 2013. Submissions should not exceed three pages and can be sent via email to Daisy.Joseph@fema.dhs.gov. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this RFI or Government use of any information provided. Proposals or pricing information are not requested. This notice is for informational purposes only; it is not a request for proposals or quotes nor should it be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended into responding to this RFI.
