- The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) plans to host a Small Business Matchmaking Collaboration - open to all socio-economic catagories of small businesses. The purpose is to provide insightful information to Small Disadvantaged, Women Owned, 8(a), HubZone, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business owners on how to successfully do business with the government. It is a unique opportunity to listen, learn, and network. The focus is on helping all small business owners in navigating the changing and challenging government acquisition world. The event will begin with opening remarks followed by four successive breakout learning sessions in addition to pre-arranged, concurrent 15-minute matchmaking appointments. Small Business Owners will be matched using their company's primary NAICs Code with program personnel who may have possible future requirements. WHERE: OPM HQ Federal Building, 1900 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20415 DATE: Wednesday, July 31, 2013 GENERAL AGENDA: 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM - Opening Remarks 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Federal Investigative Services' Breakout Session 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM - How to Obtain Company Security Clearances - Breakout Session 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM - HRS/VMB Subcontracting Opportunities with the Training Management Vehicle Contracts - Breakout Session 1:45 PM - 2:45 PM -Chief Information Officer's, How to do business with OPM - Breakout Session 2:45 PM - Event ends Breakout sessions will run concurrently with the 15-minute pre-matched matchmaking sessions. Please add your desire for an arranged matchmaking 15 minute session to your registration email. Only one session per company will be permitted. You must provide your main NAICs code relating to the following opportunity areas: CIO/IT related, Facilities, or Federal Investigative Services - Field Work. PURPOSE: Provide information to small businesses to successfully do business with the government. COST: Free REGISTRATION: You must be a small business with SBA certification to register for this event. To register, send an e-mail to Josiah.DelToro@opm.gov with "Registration for July 31, 2013 SDVOSB Event" in the subject line. Registration for ALL socio-economic catagories open on July 22, 2013 and will close either when we reach our capacity limit or by July 25 at 12:00 PM. Space is limited to 150 companies or 200 persons. We ask that a maximum of two people from each business attend. You will receive confirmation about your registration via e-mail once you are registered. The confirmation e-mail will provide security information and other necessary information. YOU MUST receive a confirming e-mail to attend, and we ask that you bring a copy of the confirmation with you on July 31th (no exceptions). Registration requests will not be taken by telephone. Event registration is on a first contact basis until the 150 person limit is obtained. Note: Please ensure that you arrive before 9 AM and with your e-mail registration confirmation printed out for verification at our registration tables on the day of the event. There will be no admittance after 9:30 AM.
