Description
AMENDMENT A00002: Q1: Please explain the daily minimum in more detail. Is this the # of procedures for the entire year? We based our business plan on 2.5 patients per month. If you only schedule 1 patient in a month, we lose money that month. A1: The per day minimum charge applies when the contractor makes timely delivery of the equipment to the VA site on a scheduled day and either no cases are performed or when the total fees do not meet or exceed the daily minimum threshold.. We are not guaranteeing a monthly minimum of 2.5 per month. Q2: Please explain the hospital rate vs. the ambulatory rate. Please provide what the hospital Medicare rate is. A2: Hospital Rates: A portion of a hospital which provides diagnostic, therapeutic (both surgical and nonsurgical), and rehabilitation services to sick or injured persons who do not require hospitalization or institutionalization Ambulatory Rates: A freestanding facility, other than a physician's office, where surgical and diagnostic services are provided on an ambulatory basis. (VA DOES NOT FIT THIS DESCRIPTION) Q3: Please explain NPI#. We are not a MD and do not have a NPI# since we do not bill. A3: This section is N/A for this requirement THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGE IS ADDED TO THE SOLICITATION (RFQ) 2.3.2-CANCELLATION: If a lithotripter is delivered to the VA site and is inoperable for 60 minutes or more with the result that Client or the designated Surgeon must postpone surgical procedures ready to be performed the contractor will forego the charge for a single surgical procedure on a subsequent scheduled day.
