Description
This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 541513. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources technically capable of providing a System Administration for a Classroom XXI (CRXXI). Must be able support the following: Perform analytical, evaluation and maintenance duties in support of: LAN administration, local area network system components to include servers, desktop workstation configuration, PC, software, and peripherals. The contractor shall be responsible for ultimately ensuring functionality of automated data processing and communications. Serve as a technician for trouble calls relating to the user, associated network systems, file servers, in that order. The contractor shall respond to trouble calls, evaluate and analyze PCs, file servers, and the network hardware and/or software. The contractor shall provide and implement solutions to reported and discerned problems, which may include processing warranty item equipment. Manage all classroom instruction and equipment (i.e. deploying and updating courseware to include scheduling classes and maintaining usage data). Scheduling and maintaining the TRADOC Calendar for CRXXI. Perform network and database administration responsibilities to include: remote and on-site monitoring of system workloads, system hardware component installation, configuration and operation. Provide/implement recommendations on system changes and operational procedures needed to increase efficiency. Develop and maintain a logical and physical network component resource inventory. Administer network client accounts to include establishment and de-establishment of system and mail accounts. Maintain IP scheme and the log of all locations and addresses. Administer network security to include system access control, and anti virus protection.. The contractor shall manage network server memory/disk storage to include maintenance of hard disk space allocation. The contractor shall provide/implement recommendation(s) on system changes and operational procedures needed to increase efficiency. The contractor shall develop and maintain a logical and physical network component resource inventory. The contractor shall maintain record copies of system/equipment software disks and documentation. The contractor shall administer intra-network client accounts to include establishment and deletion of system and mail accounts. The contractor shall maintain IP scheme and the log of all locations and addresses, and administer network security to include system access control and anti virus protection. Potential offerors having the skills, experience, professional qualifications, and capabilities necessary to perform the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via e-mail. The Capability statements shall not exceed ten (10) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.); and 4) Familiarity and knowledge of the requirement. Responses are due no later than 0730 EST, Monday 29 July 2013, and shall be electronically submitted to tara.mcadoo@us.army.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
