- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing the following service: Generation (on a C57Bl/6 background) of a Constitutive Knock In of the fluorescent protein mKate2 w/optional Conditional Knock Out for Rem2 Mouse Model. Vendor/firm must have/provide evidence of the following: • A proven track record of producing complex genetic mouse models on a C57BL/6 background within a forty eight weeks timeframe, as the required timeframe for the entire project of this potential acquisition is within/not to exceed forty eight weeks. • Facility must be Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care and Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare with high health animal standards • Licenses in place to utilize the genetic fluorescent protein reporter mKate2 from Evrogen in the mouse model Interested firms with the capability of providing the required product with configurations are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 112990 with a size standard of $750K. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the products above. A copy of the capability statement must be received at the contracting office address/designated location: 6100 Executive Blvd, Room 5Z00, Rockville, MD 20852 - ATTN: Tina Robinson or sent via email to robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time on July 30, 2013. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NICHD-13-053. Submission by email must also reference solicitation # NICHD-13-053 in the subject line of the email. Capability statement/responses by fax WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Any questions must be sent via email to robinsti@mail.nih.gov and must include solicitation# NICHD-13-053 in the subject line of email.
