Description
STATEMENT OF WORK #3 Generator Rear Furnace Wall Repair GENERAL 1.1 SUMMARY OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials to replace the 93 misaligned tubes and eliminate the future natural gas burner configuration on the rear furnace wall in the combustion chamber of High Temperature Water Generator #3. Tubes will be manufactured per manufacture specifications except minimum tube wall thickness will be modified from.109 to.120. Tubes will be rolled, welded and rolled again into headers per manufactured specifications. All tiles, block, insulation, sheeting, and tuyeres (tuyeres will be saved and reused) will be removed and replaced according to manufactured specifications. Contractor shall dispose of all materials removed during repair to include tiles, block, insulation, sheeting and tubes. Contractor shall provide all documentation and inspections required by State and Federal requirements. 1.2 Generator Specifications: MFG.: International Boiler Works Identification #: TJW-VC-85 Type: Water Tube Serial: 14892 NB#: 16135 Output/hour: 85 MMBTU Max PSI: 500 PSI Tubes: 1.5" OD, SA-178-A.120 min wall boiler tubing 1.3 Execution: 1.3.1 Remove and dispose of all existing refractory, blocks, insulation, tiles, sheeting and tubes required 1.3.2 Remove all tube header plugs, orifices and rear tuyeres 1.3.3 Modify configuration of rear furnace wall to eliminate the future gas burner configuration 1.3.4 Manufacture 93 tubes per manufacture specifications except minimum tube wall thickness will be modified from.109 to.120 and deliver to job site 1.3.5 Install 93 tube sheets per manufacture specification (rolled, seal welded and rerolled into headers) 1.3.6 Install header plugs and orifices per manufacture specifications 1.3.7 Hydrostatic test and file all required documentation for repair required by Federal and State requirements 1.3.8 Replace all refractory, blocks, insulation, tiles and sheeting per manufacture specification 1.3.9 Reuse and install rear tuyeres 1.4 Government Support: 1.4.1 Government Materials Supplied: 1.4.1.1 Header plugs and orifices 1.4.1.2 Abrasion block as required 1.4.2 The government will be responsible for removal of all auxiliary equipment that would impede the execution of the contractor. Testing requirements will be assisted by the government. 1.5 Period of Performance Period of performance will be 180 days after contract award.
