- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for Replace Standby Generator at Townshend Lake Dam - Townshend, VT. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Provide all materials, labor and equipment needed to furnish and install a new 60kW/75KVA standby generator at the Townshend Lake Dam. The installation includes new engine exhaust piping to tie into the existing vertical exhaust piping, or if the existing vertical exhaust piping is not compatible with the generator engine supplied an all new exhaust system. The installation also includes all work necessary to connect the generator to the existing, air venting ductwork, fuel supply piping, and electrical switchboard. Work also includes removal and proper disposal of the existing standby-generator and related items. The period of performance of the resulting contract will be Notice to Proceed (NTP) + 30 Calendar Days and the estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 09-AUG-2013 with an anticipated quote due date of 28-AUG-2013 and award date of 03-SEP-2013. The solicitation will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov). In order to view this solicitation, prospective contractors are required to self register their firm with Federal Business Opportunities (Go to http://www.fbo.gov and quote mark register now quote mark under Vendor/Citizens). Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
