- RFI The Air Force, as the Department of Defense (DoD) Executive Agent for the Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III Program, provides this Request For Information (RFI) inviting industry to provide information on the technologies of interest for the DPA Title III Program. Industry responses to the RFI will be assessed and may assist in potential future Title III actions. The Title III program has identified a number of technology areas of interest for its future activities, and interested firms are encouraged to determine if they have information pertaining to these topics. Submission of other topics is encouraged if the respondent considers it of potential interest to DoD programs of record. Identified technology areas of interest include: A. Unmanned systems including UGV, UUV, UAV, and satellites. Technologies might include: structural materials, command - control - communication systems, guidance systems, power management and storage systems, and propulsion systems. B. Systems addressing Chemical and Biological Warfare (CBW) capabilities. Examples might include materials, emitters, and detectors required for sensing, tracking, and monitoring of CBW materials. C. Fragile systems within legacy programs. Examples might include traveling wave tubes, radiation hardened electronics, batteries, and specialty metals. D. Production and/or processing capabilities of ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) for military, aerospace, or commercial gas turbine engines. E. High temperature polyimide materials for application in military or commercial aerospace and other applications.
