Description
The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA786-13-R-0252 for the following: SUPPLY INSCRIBED THIN, FLAT GRANITE MARKERS (J1) AND SMALL, FLAT GRANITE MARKERS (L1) TO NATIONWIDE CEMETERIES. Contractor shall provide all labor and material needed to package and palletize, if necessary, shipments of the inscribed markers. Shipments shall be FOB Origin, contractor's facility, utilizing Government contract carriers. Contractor shall be responsible for scheduling, through transportation carrier's website, shipment pick-up and the generation of required shipping documentation. Provide all labor and equipment to load pallets or singles onto the carrier's vehicle. After notifying the government contracted carriers for pickup, provide email notification within 24 hours if carriers fail to pick up as arranged Granite must conform to the definition of Granite as defined by ASTM C119. Granite is to be standard grade, fine- medium grained material as classified by the National Building Granite Quarries Association. Granite must be free from cracks, seams, or starts, chips, pits, or other defects that would impair its strength, durability or readability of the inscription. All stone shall be obtained from quarries within the United States having adequate capacity and facilities to meet the specified requirements. The period of performance will be from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014, with four (3) 1-year options, if exercised, to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2017. This acquisition is 100% set aside for SDVOSB. The NAICS Code is 327991. Size standard is 500 employees. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov on or about July 26, 2013. Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 2:00 P.M. on August, 13, 2013. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining any amendments.
