Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Contractor to provide all equipment, labor, materials and supervision to install (2) lint collection systems and (1) UV Eradicator in the following location Building 10 laundry at the VA Medical Center 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua NY 14424 EXISTING CONDITIONS Purchase and install two (2) lint collection systems and one (1) UV Eradicator in the laundry facility, Bldg 10. Each lint collection device shall be capable of drawing 7,000 CFM of air and providing coverage for 25 square feet. The UV Eradicator shall be capable of providing 6,000 CFM of return sterile air. Work shall include anchoring all equipment to the ceiling, positioned above the laundry equipment as recommended by the manufacturer. All work required to provide electric power and hook up from existing power sources at Bldg 10 to the lint collectors and eradicator shall be included as part of the Scope of Work. All electrical conduits shall be concealed and routed in a good workmanship manner. Electrical branch circuits shall be connected to Power Panel and labeled. All circuits shall be run in conduit in accordance with VA Specifications. Units shall be anchored and hung from the ceiling directly above the laundry equipment. All work must be performed after normal business hours. This procurement has been set aside 100% to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. Offers from other than Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns will NOT be considered and shall be rejected. Solicitation packages will be available via FedBizOpps.gov on or about August 9, 2013. All questions concerning this project MUST be submitted electronically to the POC listed below. NO phone calls will be accepted. NAICS code is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors). Size standard is $14.0 million. The estimated magnitude of this project is less than $25,000.00. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this requirement. Offerors are encouraged to attend the Pre-Proposal Meeting and walk through at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The date, time, and place will be announced in the solicitation. NO OTHER WALK THROUGH WILL BE SCHEDULED. Offerors should re-visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received prior to the proposal due date specified in the solicitation. NO hardcopies, NO telephone inquiries or questions, and ONLY in writing. Award is subject to availability of funds. Emailed proposals will be accepted.
