Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice is for the repair and refurbishment of two flange facer machines, model #FF5000. Both machines will require the installation of kit upgrades from the 3rd generation to the 4th generation. The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) award. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310-Comercial and Industrial machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronics) Repair and maintenance, and the size standard is $7.0M. The navy intends to solicit and award this procurement on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, 10U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for the direct replacement parts for service and repair of the flange facer machines. An award will be made to CLIMAX Portable Machining and Weld Systems as they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the machines and authorized to conduct repairs on this equipment.
