Description
BARDA Division of Analytic Decision Support Industry Day The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Assistant Secretary for Preparedness & Response (ASPR), Office of Acquisitions Management, Contracts & Grants (AMCG) invites your organization to Industry Day for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) Division of Analytic Decision Support (ADS) effort. NOTE: This effort is separate from the broader BARDA Industry Day held annually. Industry Day is an upfront engagement between the Government and Industry, prior to solicitation, to foster an environment of collaboration and receive feedback that may help formalize a future Request For Proposal (RFP). The purpose of this effort consists of procuring subject matter expertise in epidemiology, medical sciences, operations research, mathematical modeling, computational sciences, and other domains. Below is an outline of the topics to be discussed: • Welcoming Remarks/ Introduction to BARDA • Introduction to BARDA's Division of Analytic Decision Support o Roles & Responsibilities  A Core Service Provider  HHS Modeling Hub o Strategy and Implementation Plan for ADS o Resources: People and Models Q&A regarding ADS' Roles & Responsibilities (20 min) • ADS' Functional Area Requirements and Sample Projects o Operational Support o Strategic Studies o Medical and Public Health Consequence Modeling o Technology Development and Systems Integration o Advanced Applied Research and Development Q&A on Functional Area Requirements/Projects (80 min) • 1st Annual HHS Modeling Hub Network Conference/Meeting HHS • Acquisition Management, Contracts & Grants Overview & Q&A Prospective offerors desiring to gain more information and knowledge of the effort can register to attend the Industry Day scheduled for this purpose. Industry Day will be held on Monday, 12 August 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, in the Hubert H. Humphrey (HHH) Building, Room 705A. The address is 200 Independence Avenue S.W., Washington, DC, 20201. For those who are unable to attend, a telecon number and passcode is provided for your convenience. Telecon: 1-866-732-6045, code: 5387898 To register, prospective offerors shall submit a request, WRITTEN ONLY via e-mail, no later than 12:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time on Friday, 9 August 2013, containing the company, business size, name of the attendees, and contact information to Ms. Ashlie Evans and Mr. Adam Freimanis. Due to the anticipated interest expected for this effort, each company is limited to two (2) attendees. Please do not make inquiries by telephone.
