Description
RIS Simulator Request for Information This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered a committment by the Goverrnment. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that a response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its aquisition strategy. This is strictly market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing with an associted 750 employees. This requirement is to provide a Radar Interface Simulator (RIS) System to the U.S. Coast Guard's (USCG) Command Control Communication and Computor Information Technology Service Center's Mission Support Sustainment Laboratory. The simulator shall support the existing APS-143C(v)3, a multi-mode radar, fully integrated as part of the USCG's Million System Pallet (MSP) for the USCG's HC-144A Ocean Sentry Maritime Patrol Aircraft. At this time, Telephonics Corporation is the only known and fully capable Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Domestic Source, developer, direct sales channel and distributor known to be capable of developing a Radar Interface Simulator capable of conducting software,hardware regression testing to ensure the new/patched software builds for the existing Telephonics APS-143 C(v)3 are suitable for performance.
