- RFQ SOW This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quote (RFQ). Written quotes are being requested. A hardcopy written RFQ will not be issued. NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has a requirement for analysis of samples for lipid classes and fatty acids for the purpose of determining the amount and type of lipids and biomarkers in juvenile crab and Arctic cod. Information of the lipid classes and fatty acids in fish and crabs are required for a number of ecological and essential fish habitat studies. Lipid analyses requires the use of thin layer chromatography with flame ionization detection with a (TLC/FID)MARK V or MARK IV Iatroscan. The entire solicitation is attached. Interested firms shall provide, in writing, a brief narrative (no more than 4 pages in length) and documentation to support your firm's capability and experience meeting the requirements herein. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 541690 with a size standard of $14M. The government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract with period of performance commencing approximately from date of award through Jan 31, 2016 with no option period. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within ten (10) calendar days of its publication. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to (206) 527-7513 attention to Maria Mendoza or email at maria.l.mendoza@noaa.gov. This is a simplified acquisition. This notice is hereby issued as RFQ No.AB133F-13-RQ-03626. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this RFQ and resultant award.
