- The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk intends to negotiate an indefinite delivery/requirements type contract with firm fixed price provisions and will utilize procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items for collection, transportation, and disposal of medical waste as required by Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune. A one-year base period and four one-year option periods are anticipated. FAR 52.217-8 -- Option to Extend Services will be included in the solicitation and award. The anticipated date of award is on or about 12 September 2013. The anticipated start date of performance is 01 October 2013. The requirement will be solicited as 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code applicable for this procurement is 562211 with a size standard of $35.5 million. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 01 August 2013, by downloading the documents at the Neco Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
