Description
This is a Total Small Business Set Aside requirement for the overhaul of the C-5 Valve Body. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the C-5 Body, Valve. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The solicitation number will be FA8118-13-R-0047. The item and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture: NSN 1660-00-192-2624, P/N: 880290-2 Noun: Body, Valve; Applicable to C-5 aircraft; Quantity: Basic Year, 12 each; Option I, 12 each; Option II, 12 each; Option III, 12 each; Option IV, 12 each. Item 0002: Over and Above Work. Item 0003: Data, not separately priced IAW DD 1423. Deliveries are to be 4 each per month 30 days after receipt of order and reparables. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 13 August 2013. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. For qualification information/source approval requests contact Source Development Office, OC-ALC/BC (405)739-7243. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES are: Aerospace Coatings International and Repair Tech International INC. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
