- Statement of Work Request for Quote Solicitation Number: PIFSC-13-030 Agency: Department of Commerce Office: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Location: National Marine Fisheries Service, Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; request for quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center, Coral Reed Ecosystem Division, located in Honolulu, HI, requires a contractor to provide maintenance services and replacement and spare parts related to the pump systems of a seawater aquaculture facility located at the Inouye Regional Center, a laboratory and office complex on historic Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The aquaculture facility is outfitted with a customized computerized supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) utilized to integrate the various subsystems, sensors, equipment, and monitoring functions. Subsystems include: granular filtration, foam fractionation, ultra-violet disinfection, biological nutrient removal, heat exchangers, recirculation pumps, CO2 injection, calcium reactors, bulk storage tank hydraulic operation, degas towers, makeup water, and wastewater discharge. Pumping systems manufactured by Pentair Inc. are used extensively in the facility. Interested parties must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide service. Information should provide sufficient detail that demonstrates the firm's knowledge and ability to perform requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 561210. A firm fixed price contract will be issued in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13 utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All interested parties must respond to this announcement by the within twelve (12) calendar days of its publication. This procurement also requires contractors to complete the electronic representations and certifications at the SAM website. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM.
