- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center provides diagnostic and therapeutic services in medicine, surgery, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, and skilled nursing home care. This facility also provides homeless shelter services to those Veterans requiring a transition program to aid homeless Veterans. The contractor shall furnish transitional housing for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center. The contractor warrants that subcontracting will not be resorted to as a means of circumventing this provision and must provide documentation of site control through private ownership and/or capital lease covering the contract period to include the option years. Failure to provide ongoing transitional housing may result in unfavorable contract performance evaluation and will result in contract termination. This requirement is Unrestricted. The NAICS code is 623220. Contract period will be a base period plus (1) one option year period. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at www.fedbizopps.gov. Initial Facility Inspection (Acceptable/Unacceptable) Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and VA Safety Officer shall conduct initial inspection on all Temporary Residential/ Emergency Residential Housing offerors within 50 mile radius of the Salisbury VA Medical Center and/or a 25 mile radius of the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC). The contract facility must have a current occupancy permit or license required by the authority having jurisdiction. A site visit to your facility will be scheduled within one week of the proposal due date in accordance with the below Housing Inspection Checklist. Facilities within acceptable condition shall receive an acceptable rating. Facilities who receive an unacceptable rating due to unsuitable conditions will be removed from further consideration. Solicitation packages will be available on or about August 07, 2013. No hard copy solicitations will be provided. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at www.fedbizopps.gov.
