Description
Synopsis: 2013 Cyber Security Transition to Practice (TTP) Technology Demonstration for Investors, Integrators, and IT Companies (I3) - West August 22, 8:00 - 5:00pm San Jose Marriot San Jose, CA Sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate Cyber Security Division Transition to Practice (TTP) Program On August 22, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Cyber Security Division (CSD) will be hosting a Transition to Practice Technology Demonstration Day in San Jose, CA at the San Jose Marriot. This event will feature eight innovative cybersecurity technologies that have been developed at the Department of Energy National Laboratories and have the potential to strengthen an organization's cybersecurity posture. During this event cybersecurity professionals and technology investors from private industry will learn about these new technologies through presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with the research teams that produced these technologies. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to schedule a private one-on-one discussion with the Researcher to discuss opportunities for commercializing the technologies and areas of interest to drive further cybersecurity research. The TTP program works to identify emerging cybersecurity technologies that were developed with Federal funding and helps them transition into products capable of broad utilization. TTP is a result of the White House's Federal Cybersecurity R&D Strategic Plan as well as the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI). Registration for this event is open to cybersecurity Investors, Integrators and Information Technology Companies, as well as to security professionals from the Federal, State, and local government.
